The Challenge
Last year(2025), a long-standing customer of ours—a Russian refining and petrochemical company—encountered persistent operational issues at the pretreatment stage of their refinery wastewater treatment process. The incoming wastewater contained significant amounts of oily sludge and suspended solids, which, when carried directly into the downstream biological treatment stage, caused frequent clogging of the aeration tanks and disrupted overall system performance.
The Solution
To address this bottleneck, the plant installed a YUBO TGF-600G high-dirt-holding-capacity basket strainer at the front end of the wastewater pipeline. The strainer effectively captures and removes large suspended particles and oily sludge from the wastewater stream before they can reach the biological treatment stage.
The Results
Following the installation, the system delivered substantial improvements:
• Influent water quality to the biological stage stabilized significantly
• Overall wastewater treatment efficiency increased by 30%
