Fine Filtration for Seafood Concentrate: A Case Study
Country: Norway
Project: Seafood Concentrate Production Line Filtration Upgrade Project
Technology: YUBO D26 Multi-Bag Filter System (with 5μm Polypropylene Filter Bags)
The Challenge
A seafood processor reached out to us with a persistent quality bottleneck in their concentrate production line. During our on-site assessment, we observed that their existing filtration setup was struggling to remove fine meat particles and suspended impurities from the concentrate stream. The result was two-fold: the final product had a gritty, coarse texture that fell short of their quality standards, and the downstream filling equipment was frequently clogged, causing repeated production stoppages and escalating maintenance costs.
The Solution
After analyzing their process conditions and product requirements, we recommended the installation of YUBO's 6# D26 multi-bag filter system, fitted with 5-micron polypropylene filter bags. This configuration was selected to precisely capture fine solids without compromising flow rate. The system's 316L stainless steel housing not only ensures corrosion resistance but also complies with strict food-grade sanitation standards, making it easy to clean and sterilize during routine maintenance cycles.

The Results
Once the system was commissioned, the improvement was immediate and measurable:
• Filling equipment blockage rate dropped by 75%, eliminating frequent downtime
• Product texture and clarity improved significantly, resulting in consistently positive feedback from their customers
• Overall production reliability increased, with fewer unplanned interruptions and lower long-term maintenance burden
